Dr. Correll was born and raised in Bandera, Texas where she was, almost literally, raised in a barn. She grew up helping care for the Quarter Horse race horses in her family’s training stables as well as various other animals in the family menagerie. She is currently owned by one Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix named Missy who is an amazing hiking and running partner and one Grenadian guard cat named Monster who has travelled with her both internationally and throughout much of the Southeastern United States.
She received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in 2012. She then attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, where she earned a Master’s degree in 2013. Dr. Correll then attained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University after completing three years of study in Grenada and her clinical year at Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Services.
Dr. Correll also worked as a technician for various veterinary clinics and laboratories in Texas and Louisiana throughout her education. She has special interests in preventative care, surgery, anesthesia, and pain management. She is excited to begin meeting and caring for her new patients as an associate veterinarian at Creek View Veterinary Clinic.
